Stating the obvious, but it’s important to drink when you are thirsty, your body normally tells you when you need to drink fluids. Be sure to drink fluids if you are exercising, sweating, breastfeeding, vomiting or have diarrhea as you are losing fluids and want to keep up with what’s going out.
The daily recommendations are around 2.5-3L water/day depending on if you’re male or female based on our body requirements. 8-10 glasses of fluid a day will get you there. However, this recommendation is not for everyone such as those with certain heart and kidney conditions.

Drinking plenty of fluids decreases the risk of UTIs because you urinary tract stays flushed and it helps prevent constipation by keeping your stools nice and fluffy, making it easier to pass.
